About Us
Lakeshore Pregnancy Center began as Birthright in 1973. In response to a desire to grow and develop our services further, the decision was made to affiliate with Care Net, an organization that has supported and advised pregnancy centers nationwide since 1985. In 1991, this transition was completed and Lakshore Pregnancy Center was officially incorporated.
In order to reach more families in the Lakeshore area, we became committing to planting satellite centers in communities where there were not pregnancy care centers. In 2000 we opened an office in Grand Haven, in 2003 we finished construction on our new building at 14th and River Avenue, in 2004 we opened an office in Allegan and in 2006 we opened an office in Allendale.
In 2007 we had over 5,200 client visits at these sites.

Lakeshore Pregnancy Center upholds a high standard of customer care. Lakeshore Pregnancy Center adheres to the "Our Promise to You" state in all interactions with clients. The promise statement is prominently displayed in the center and clients are encouraged to read it. The staff at Lakeshore Pregnancy Center agrees to uphold all the tenets of the promise statement.

- Client pregnancy tests are distributed and administered in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Client information is held in strict and absolute confidence. Client information is only disclosed as required by law and when necessary, to protect the client or others against imminent harm.
- Clients of the center receive accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues and related concerens.
- The center does not offer, recommend or refer to abortions or abortifacients, but is committed to offering accurate information about procedures and risks.
- All advertising and communications by the center are truthful, honest and accurately describe the services offered.
- All staff and volunteers of the center receive proper training to uphold these standard.
